Rose Mary Dehne

	Rose Mary Dehne, age 89, formerly of Du Quoin, Ill., Pinckneyville, IL and Elmdale, Ind.,  died Monday, May 3, 2004 at 2:55 a.m. in  the Ben Hur Nursing Home, Crawfordsville, Ind. Rose had lived in Crawfordsville for 3 1/2 years.
	Mrs. Dehne was born in Du Quoin on November 15, 1914, a daughter of Joseph and Dominica Lima Cicardo.  She married William C. Dehne on February 22, 1941 and he preceded her in death on May 13, 1989.
	During her lifetime she attended Sacred Heart Catholic School, Du Quoin, was a member of the Pleasant Hill United Church of Christ, was a member of the former Center Christian Church, Elmdale, Ind., formerly a member of the Center Christian Church Ladies Help Society of which she held the office of Secretary for many years.  Rose was also a homemaker and an in-home caregiver for several ladies in the Elmdale, Ind. area.
	Survivors include a son:  Milton Dehne of Lafayette, IN, three daughters:  Katherine C. Melvin, and her husband, Ernest, of Crawfordsville, Ind., Minta Parker, and her husband, Bryce, of Bucyrus, Ohio, Sharon Walker, and her husband, Larry, of West Lafayette, Ind., a brother:  John Cicardo of Chester, Ill., two sisters:  Mary Bird of Du Quoin and Josephine Brentweiser of Orange Park, Fla., ten grandchildren and twenty-two great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, son:  Karl Dehne in 1952, one sister, and two brothers.
	Friends called at the Shoemaker Funeral Home, Waynetown, In on Thursday from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.  A prayer service was conducted by Rev. Gordon Nichols in the Shoemaker Funeral Home at 8:00 p.m.
	Locally friends called at the Pyatt-Harrawood Funeral Home, Pinckneyville, on Friday from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Saturday from 8:00 a.m. until services.
	Funeral services were held at the Pyatt-Harrawood Funeral Home, Pinckneyville, on Saturday, May 8, 2004 at 10:00 a.m.  Interment was in the I. O. O. F. Cemetery, Pinckneyville.
	Memorials may be made to the Pleasant Hill United Church of Christ, Wingate, Ind. or St. Paul United Church of Christ, Pinckneyville.
